First Friday Family Flicks

The first Friday night of each month (May- Sept) at dusk, the Union Dairy along with FHN, The Helm Group and the Freeport Public Library will show a short cartoon and then a feature film in the Debate Site. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come early for the best seats and enjoy a hot dog and a cone while you wait!

This year, The Union Dairy and the Farm Bureau will be heading out on a tractor drive, leaving at 8am and stopping at all of the nursing homes and assisted living complexes, and ending at the Union Dairy for the annual tractor show. 1pm Dairy Days Parade

 

 Dairy Days Parade, Downtown Freeport, "Celebrating Agriculture in Stephenson County", the parade will kick off from the corner of Washington and Jackson and will wind through downtown. The route will be Jackson, VanBuren, Main, State, Exchange, VanBuren, Douglas, Clark and VanBuren, ending near the Health Dept on Linden St. The announcers stand will be at the Stewart Center

Chicago's Low Down Brass Band will highlight the parade entries, sponsored by Pioneer Hybrids.

Fun for all ages, pony rides, petting zoo, by "Friendly Lakeside Critters" from Apple River, bounce house,  face art by FACEtastic, learn about the new Children's Hands On Museum coming soon to Freeport, and support a fundraiser by the Stephenson County Historical Society
