First Friday Family Flicks

The first Friday night of each month (May- Sept) at dusk, the Union Dairy will show a short cartoon and then a feature film in the Debate Site. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and come early for the best seats and enjoy a hot dog and a cone while you wait!

Dairy Days Parade

Sunday, June 23rd, 1pm

Dairy Days Parade, Downtown Freeport, "Celebrating Agriculture in Stephenson County", the parade will kick off from the corner of Washington and Jackson and will wind through downtown. The route will be Jackson, VanBuren, Main, State, Exchange, VanBuren, Douglas, Clark and VanBuren, ending near the Health Dept on Linden St. The announcers stand will be at the Stewart Center

Following the Parade is

Family Day and Tractor Show/Dairy Appreciation at the Union Dairy

Family Day 2pm-5pm

Fun for all ages, pony rides, petting zoo, by "Friendly Lakeside Critters" from Apple River, bounce house,  face art by the Freeport CheerTeam and DanceSquad, and learn about the new Children's Hands On Museum. Also, new this year, is the Tractor Show and Dairy Appreciation following the parade. Visit the exhibits and see the tractors up close

A Whole Weekend of Family Fun! 

Start on Friday with "Paint the Port" & a free. Saturday starts in Tutty's Crossing with Small Town Big Heros followed by a family fun bike ride touring Freeport. But the fun doesn't stop there... Off to Brewfest! Sampling beer from local breweries while the kids have fun with face painting and bounce houses and more. Then Sunday continues with a community worship service and paddling the Pecatonica River with Friends of the Pec. For details on all the events that weekend, visit tourdefreeport.com
